Ritchson Lets Loose On The Epstein Files
Alan Ritchson, best known for playing Jack Reacher, made headlines after a heated appearance on Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, where he demanded the release of the Epstein files and ripped into the people he believes are standing in the way. Ritchson said people may see him as a “loose cannon,” but argued he is saying what others should say if they care about humanity. He described the world as being “on fire” and said he was angry about abuse and corruption. That part, at least, is not hard to understand. Millions of Americans, left and right, want every lawful Epstein document released and every real criminal exposed. The problem came when the actor went from demanding transparency to launching ugly personal claims that have not been proven in court.
The Podcast Clip Quickly Turned Political
During the podcast, Ritchson used profanity while asking where the Epstein files are and insisted he would get them released “in two seconds” if he had the chance. He also said that, as a Christian, some people would object to his language, but he argued the subject should make people angry enough to speak that way. Fair enough, Americans are allowed to be furious about sex trafficking and elite coverups. But then Ritchson aimed his fire directly at President Donald Trump, calling him a “rapist” and making a graphic accusation involving 13-year-olds while saying Trump should go to jail. That is where righteous anger turns into Hollywood improv, and not the award-winning kind.

The Legal Record Matters Here
No criminal charge has been filed against President Trump in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and has said he was unaware of Epstein’s sexual abuse and trafficking operation. There was a civil lawsuit filed anonymously in 2016 accusing Trump and Epstein of assaulting a woman when she was 13, but that lawsuit was voluntarily withdrawn before the allegations were tested in court, and Trump denied the claims. Those facts matter, even if Hollywood prefers the “say it loud and call it truth” method. In America, accusations are not convictions, podcasts are not courtrooms, and volume is not evidence.
Trump Signed The Epstein Files Law
Another detail getting buried under the shouting is that President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law in November 2025. According to the source report, the Department of Justice has already released roughly 3.5 million pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein under that law. That does not mean every question has been answered, and it does not mean the public should stop demanding lawful disclosure. It does mean the claim that Trump is simply hiding everything does not fit the record being reported. If a man signs the law that forces documents into the open, it takes some Olympic-level mental gymnastics to act like he alone is the locked filing cabinet.
Ritchson Has Gone After Trump Supporters Before
This is not Ritchson’s first public clash with Trump or Christians who support him. In 2024, he reportedly called Trump a “rapist and a con man” and said it was “unreal” that many Christians treated him like a poster child. He also claimed Christians had become a “vitriolic tribe.” That is quite a lecture from a celebrity using a flamethrower on a microphone. Ritchson is free to criticize Trump, Christians, Republicans, Democrats, or anybody else. That is the First Amendment, and we should defend it. But if the standard is truth and accountability, then it should apply to celebrities too, not just the people they dislike.
Americans Still Deserve Real Transparency
The Epstein case remains one of the ugliest scandals tied to powerful people, and the public has every right to demand answers. Every lawfully releasable document should come out, every name tied to criminal conduct should be exposed, and every victim deserves justice. But serious demands for truth are weakened when they are mixed with reckless claims, partisan rage, and cable-ready outrage clips. If Ritchson wants the files released, many conservatives would agree with that goal. The difference is simple: we want evidence, records, and accountability, not a Hollywood sermon where the facts have to chase the feelings down the street.
