Yet, instead of addressing these damning revelations, Obama’s office issued a weak, condescending statement, claiming Trump’s allegations were “bizarre” and “a distraction.” They doubled down on the debunked claim that Russia “influenced” the 2016 election—conveniently ignoring that no votes were changed and that the entire “collusion” narrative was a politically motivated lie.

“We will be releasing further documents tomorrow that will refute that statement… We will be pulling a whole host of statements made by the Obama administration… that repeat the narrative… Russian hackers worked to aid Trump in the election.”
