In a recent podcast appearance that underscores the profound lack of credibility and detachment from reality pervasive within the liberal media, former MSNBC personality Joy Reid launched into an unhinged tirade. She openly cast doubt on the very real and traumatic assassination attempt on then-candidate Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. This spectacle serves as a stark reminder of why Reid was ultimately deemed too extreme even for the left-leaning network, which severed ties with her last year.
Freed from the minimal guardrails a major network might impose, Reid has descended into a new depth of irresponsible conspiracy-mongering. Her comments represent a grotesque disrespect not only to President Trump but also to the memory of Corey Comperatore, the hero who was tragically killed while shielding his family from the gunman’s fire. To dismiss the shooting is to spit on the grave of a patriot who made the ultimate sacrifice.
During her interview with MeidasTouch’s Katie Phang, Reid embraced a fringe leftist conspiracy theory, attempting to rewrite history with baseless and absurd claims. She did not merely question details; she ventured into the realm of pure fantasy, so far removed from fact that she effectively landed in a fictional world. Reid audaciously stated, “He’s got these magical doctors who claimed that he was shot in the ear, but his ear, I guess, grew back.”
She continued her deranged monologue, pointing to the changing appearance of the President’s bandage as some form of supposed evidence, completely ignoring the normal progression of wound care. “He had a Duplo bandage on one minute, no bandage the next. We can’t get a medical record from this alleged assassination. He was supposed to be shot. We have nothing. We’ve got nothing. You can’t even ask,” Reid bloviated.
Rather than challenging this dangerous nonsense, her host, Katie Phang, eagerly participated in the charade, demonstrating the collaborative echo chamber that defines so much of the anti-Trump media. Phang chimed in, “Where are the investigative records? One day, he slapped his maxi pad on his ear, the next day, the ear is totally fine.” This flippant and disrespectful exchange treats a violent attempt on a leader’s life as a trivial game, showcasing their utter contempt for truth and decency.
In a particularly galling attempt to lend her theory false legitimacy, Reid then made a historically illiterate comparison, asserting, “We knew almost immediately, almost everything about [President John F.] Kennedy’s assassination. I know more about [President William] McKinley’s assassination that I do about this attempt to assassinate Trump when he was a presidential candidate.” This claim is blatantly false, as the full investigation into the JFK assassination took years and remains the subject of debate decades later.
The only point on which Reid accidentally stumbles toward a sliver of truth is her question about the assassin, though she immediately misattributes the blame. It is indeed true that the American public knows shockingly little about the shooter and his motives. However, this information vacuum is not the creation of President Trump or his supporters; it is the direct failure of Reid’s own industry.
The mainstream media, which Reid claims is not demanding records, has largely abandoned its duty to pursue the facts of the case with any vigor. Instead, they have focused on amplifying every conspiracy theory from the left, platforming voices like Reid’s that seek to delegitimize the attack and, by extension, the resilience of the President who survived it. Their silence on the shooter’s background is a deafening testament to their partisan priorities.

This entire episode is a powerful indictment of the modern liberal media ecosystem, which provides a platform for reckless commentators to spread malicious falsehoods aimed at undermining a sitting president. Their goal is transparent: to erode public confidence in a historic leader who continues to demonstrate unparalleled strength in the face of unimaginable adversity. President Trump’s courageous response to the attempt on his life stands in stark contrast to the pathetic and cowardly rhetoric of his critics.

Pass a law that requires an IQ test for media personnel. That would get rid of most of them. Until then, just ignore them. NO CLICKS!!!!!!!!!!
Print caps with FJR on them!
