Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy engaged in a meaningful discussion with an LGBT activist at a rally in Iowa, turning a hostile encounter into a dialogue.
The activist initially expressed anger about LGBT issues, but Ramaswamy didn’t ignore her disruption, instead opening a dialogue on same-sex couples and transgenderism.
He expressed his views on transgenderism and the shifting stances of the left on these issues, leading to a heated exchange.

“What is your stance on LGBTQ?” the woman asked.
Ramaswamy argued transgenderism is “a mental disorder.”
“If you’re an adult, you’re free to live your life as you want as long as you’re not hurting someone else,” Ramaswamy continued.
Despite the tension, they ultimately found common ground, agreeing that children should not be treated as adults, particularly in the context of sports.
“But kids are not the same as adults, and we have to protect them,” he said, referring to the cases of transitioning children.
Ramaswamy argued adults are free to live their lives as they want.
“But that doesn’t mean we change the way men and women compete in sports,” he added.
Ramaswamy’s ability to engage with protesters has been noted in previous instances, demonstrating his approach to handling disruptions during his campaign.
