Unjustly Vilified Border Agent, Wrongly Accused by Biden of Whipping Migrants, Triumphantly Receives Major Honor

The Biden administration’s flagrant disregard for the truth has once again been exposed. A Border Patrol agent, who was unjustly vilified by the administration on fabricated charges of whipping illegal immigrants at the southern border, has now been recognized for his commendable work with a Border Patrol achievement award.

Back in September 2021, images surfaced showing Border Patrol agents on horseback attempting to control illegal immigrants from Haiti. These images were hastily and wrongly interpreted by some as showing an agent whipping these illegal immigrants.

President Joe Biden was quick to condemn the incident, vowing to punish the agents involved without waiting for due process or a thorough investigation.

However, a subsequent investigation revealed that what appeared to be whips in some images were actually the horses’ reins. Despite this finding, the agents were still accused of using “unnecessary” force. One agent was even accused of maneuvering his horse “unsafely” and using “denigrating and inappropriate language,” according to the New York Post. Unsurprisingly, Biden has never issued an apology to these agents.

Despite being smeared by this administration, this unnamed agent was among several members of Customs and Border Patrol to receive an award, as reported by the Post.

“It’s both hilarious and absurd that nearly three years later, a Border Patrol agent who was falsely accused of racism and so demonized by this Biden administration now receives an achievement award for his efforts in preventing smuggling, before even receiving a public apology,” said an unnamed source from the Department of Homeland Security, according to the Post.

Initially, the agent was removed from border duties and prohibited from interacting with illegal immigrants. However, he was subsequently reassigned to intelligence work focused on combating human smuggling. His outstanding performance in this role led to his recognition.

Eventually, he was allowed to return to his duties along the border and interact with illegal immigrants once again.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was among those who unjustly maligned the agents. Yet, a 2022 report by the Heritage Foundation pointed out that while agents were being unfairly criticized for actions they did not commit, evidence emerged proving the accusations against them were baseless.

“We obtained communications sent to Mayorkas right before he made his inflammatory remarks at the White House,” said Mike Howell, Director of Heritage’s Oversight Project. “One such communication was an email from his top press staffer, Marsha Espinosa. She had forwarded an article to Mayorkas which included a statement from the photographer present at the incident. The photographer clearly stated there was no whipping. Yet, Secretary Mayorkas chose to ignore this crucial piece of information and proceeded with his biased narrative, further adding to the unjust vilification of these Border Patrol agents by media, Democrat congressmen, and even the President himself,” Howell added.
