SHOCKING: Joy Reid Spews Unfounded Accusations That Judge Aileen Cannon is in Trump’s Pocket!

Once again, MSNBC host Joy Reid is peddling unfounded conspiracy theories. This time, she’s suggesting that U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has been ‘bribed’ with a Supreme Court seat by former President Donald Trump. This baseless accusation comes as Judge Cannon oversees special prosecutor Jack Smith’s case against Trump concerning classified documents.

Reid posed a question to Joy Vance, a former U.S. attorney turned legal analyst for NBC and MSNBC, asking if Smith should appeal to the 11th Circuit to remove Judge Cannon from the case. Vance, however, pointed out that such an attempt would likely fail.

Vance explained that Smith’s best chance for an appeal would be if he disagreed with Judge Cannon’s rulings on whether Trump can use classified information at trial. She noted that we’re in the pre-trial phase where the government needs a special reason to take an interlocutory appeal. Most issues have to wait until after the trial.

Reid then made a baseless claim while laughing that Judge Cannon will ‘never rule.’

Vance continued, raising concerns about the sudden continuance granted to Trump by Judge Cannon. She speculated that Smith might regret not trying to recuse Judge Cannon earlier in the process.

Reid then spouted another unfounded theory, suggesting without any evidence that Judge Cannon has been ‘bribed’ by Trump. She claimed that Judge Cannon is aiming for a Supreme Court seat and believes she can secure it if Trump wins.

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson, while holding back laughter, pointed out the absurdity of Reid’s claim, stating that Aileen can’t be on the Supreme Court.

Undeterred, Reid continued her baseless accusations by implying that Judge Cannon has been promised a Supreme Court seat in exchange for favorable rulings for Trump.

The Media Research Center highlighted that Reid has been spreading this groundless claim since April 10.
