This week in the Mexican border city of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, an activist group known as “Amor Por Los Desaparecidos” received an anonymous tip that there were human remains on a ranch located along the highway connecting Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that this ranch had been seized by the Gulf Cartel and used as a killing field for their heinous activities.
Here they tortured, murdered, and incinerated victims with complete impunity.
This discovery serves as yet another reminder of how corrupt government officials at the state and federal level in Mexico have failed to target drug cartels and criminal organizations while simultaneously claiming security conditions are improving under their regime.
Moreover, this is not the first incident of its kind; this year alone Amor Por Los Desaparecidos has uncovered 16 mass graves within the city limits of Reynosa alone.
After the group visited the location, they were able to convince state authorities to investigate and document evidence of a potential crime scene.
It is believed that the site was utilized by members of the Gulf Cartel to interrogate and torture victims, as evidenced by a wall displaying graffiti with numerous bullet holes and traces of blood.
These disturbing discoveries suggest that innocent individuals may have been lined up and executed in cold blood.
Throughout the ranch, activists uncovered numerous sites where gunmen had incinerated bodies in open-air pits, as well as in makeshift crematoriums using metal containers filled with fuel or combustible materials to dispose of body parts.
Throughout the property, activists discovered several charred bone fragments. It is yet to be determined how many people were killed and incinerated in that location.
As reported by Breitbart Texas, the Gulf Cartel has a lengthy history of abducting victims and disposing of their remains to prevent interference from law enforcement.
Government officials do not register these victims in their crime statistics and simply mark those cases as forced disappearances – which allows Mexican politicians to falsely assert that crime rates are decreasing.
