A mass shooting in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia Monday evening left at least four people dead and another four injured, according to local reports.
A suspect is in custody, per Fox 29 Philadelphia.
Several juveniles were among those injured by gunfire, but their conditions were not immediately known.
The suspect was wearing a ballistic vest. He was reportedly apprehended about 10 minutes after police responded to reports of the shooting at around 8:30 p.m. local time. according to Fox 29.
Steve Keeley, a reporter for Fox29, tweeted, “PHILADELPHIA MASS SHOOTING. EIGHT people shot, 4 pronounced dead. Juveniles among those shot. Kingsessing section of West Philadelphia.”
