In a pitiful attempt to defend himself, Biden attempted to deflect criticism by claiming he had used “crosshairs” instead of “bullseye.” This feeble effort to shift blame and minimize his irresponsible comments is utterly shameful.
However, Biden’s linguistic blunder isn’t the crux of the matter. The real issue at hand is why Biden felt compelled to use such hostile and aggressive language towards his political adversary to begin with? It serves as a stark reminder of the divisive and hateful rhetoric that has become alarmingly prevalent among Democrats. They’ve gone as far as labeling Trump and his supporters as “Nazis” and depicting them as threats to democracy, thereby stoking the fires of hatred and division for far too long.
Even when confronted by NBC News anchor Lester Holt about his unsettling choice of words, Biden refused to accept responsibility. Instead, he tried to twist his words into an encouragement for people to focus on Trump’s agenda. This weak and pathetic defense only underscores Biden’s lack of accountability.
When Holt questioned him about the potential harm his words could inflict, Biden once again shirked responsibility. He audaciously reinforced his divisive language, maintaining that Trump is a “threat to democracy” and that it’s vital to speak out against him. But the real threat to democracy arises when leaders like Biden utilize their platform to demonize and incite violence against their political rivals. Such behavior is not only dangerous but also unbecoming of a president.
Adding insult to injury, Biden appears entirely unaware that his words may have contributed to this shooting incident. He shows no regret or empathy for the victims, choosing instead to persist with his divisive rhetoric. This isn’t the conduct of a leader, but rather a power-hungry politician hell-bent on advancing his agenda.
In stark contrast, former President Trump has consistently advocated for unity and condemned violence. He has repeatedly implored his supporters to participate in peaceful protests and has never encouraged violence against his opponents. Yet, despite his pleas for unity, he has been subjected to incessant attacks and slander from the left.
