On November 5, 2024, following the victory of President-elect Donald Trump, an Idaho teacher at Century High School, Lori Dixon Lombard, allegedly made hateful comments on Facebook towards a local man. These comments have sparked an investigation by the Pocatello-Chubbuck School District, where Dixon Lombard is employed as a career and technical education teacher.
In screenshots shared by Fox News, the teacher is seen targeting the man and venting her frustration over Trump’s success in the state of Idaho. According to the Idaho State Journal, Dixon Lombard wrote, “I hope your mistress or daughter have an unwanted pregnancy, wait, I looked at your picture, you don’t have a mistress… And probably never got anyone to have a daughter by you unless it was by force.”
She continued on with her purported comments, allegedly adding, “Seriously… cover your profile picture. You are pathetic looking and are opening yourself to ridicule. Everyone will know you can’t get a woman and don’t have children unless you forced yourself on some poor woman.”
The Pocatello-Chubbuck School District has released a statement addressing the alleged remarks made by Dixon Lombard. They state that the comments have been forwarded to district and school administration authorities for review. However, due to this being a personnel matter, the district is limited in what they can share publicly.
The district also highlights the importance of open communication, mutual respect, and a positive environment for all. They state that while it is important to balance individual free speech with the responsibilities of educators as role models, it is crucial to focus on the curriculum in the classroom and school setting, not personal or political views.
While the district did not confirm whether Dixon Lombard’s alleged comments violated any policies, the Idaho State Journal states that “inappropriate posting on social media” is grounds for discipline under the district’s guidelines. The district’s policy also states that school employees are allowed to speak out as citizens on matters of public concern, but they must also ensure that their speech does not disrupt the workplace or violate privacy limitations.
UPDATE: the district put out a statement that they are aware of this teacher’s posts and are “reviewing” this matter. https://t.co/I45eovVuhZ pic.twitter.com/erO4Rn2fsU

In light of this ongoing investigation, the district reminds everyone to be mindful of their speech and actions, especially when it comes to social media. Teachers, as role models for students, have a responsibility to create a positive and respectful environment. Inappropriate comments and behavior have no place in the classroom or school setting.

The “local man” should SUE Dixon! for her HATE towards him. Whatever she feels, she should keep her opinion/thoughts to HERSELF. What a BI***H! The school district should not put up with her HATRED as it spills over to students.
