Kamala Harris, our so-called Vice President and now Democratic presidential nominee, just had her second high-profile interview, this time with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). And let me tell you—it was a complete joke. Harris was coddled by the panel, given softball questions that wouldn’t make anyone in the media sweat. When pushed even a little, she became rude.  The differences between how the NABJ treated Donald Trump when he sat down with them and how they handled Harris were glaring. It’s as if they bent over backward to make sure she didn’t have to answer anything too tough.

Where was the hard-hitting journalism when it came to Kamala? Nowhere to be found. Instead, Harris spewed her canned answers and parroted her tired slogans. This was nothing more than a PR opportunity for her campaign, not a real interview. If this is what we’re getting from our “media,” we should all be worried.

Hard-hitting, right? That’s how you should question a candidate. Make them answer for their words and actions.

But when Harris sat down for her interview, what did we get? A question about whether voters are better off now than they were four years ago. It’s a simple question that gave her a wide-open chance to promote her so-called achievements—nothing challenging, nothing to make her sweat.

Let’s not forget that when Trump was questioned about race, they even threw in a mention of his dinner with a white nationalist at Mar-a-Lago. But where was that fire for Kamala? It was nowhere to be found. The double standard here is laughable and infuriating. Why should we trust these journalists when they clearly coddle one candidate while relentlessly attacking another?

Harris came into the NABJ interview armed with her predictable, canned responses. She was asked about critical issues like the war in Gaza, reparations, and gun control, and yet, all she did was recite her talking points. It’s as if she’s incapable of thinking on her feet. For example, when asked about the war in Gaza and whether she would change U.S. policy toward Israel, did she offer any real insight? Of course not. Instead, she stuck to Biden’s line, saying she supports a cease-fire and hostage release deal. No deviation, no depth. It’s like watching a robot regurgitate programmed lines.

On the issue of reparations, Harris sidestepped once again. She claimed that it’s an issue better handled by Congress, not through executive action. Convenient, right? She didn’t want to commit to anything, as usual. For someone running for the highest office in the land, it’s a bit alarming that she has so few original ideas or strong stances. But then again, that’s Kamala for you—always playing it safe, afraid to say anything that might cost her politically.

The only time Kamala Harris seemed to break from her robotic script was when she attacked Donald Trump over a conspiracy theory he floated about Haitian immigrants in Ohio. Trump claimed that these immigrants were eating people’s pets in Springfield, Ohio, and Harris pounced on the opportunity to bash him. She called it “spewing lies grounded in age-old tropes” and said her heart breaks for the community.

It’s telling that the only time Harris showed any real emotion during the interview was when she had a chance to go after Trump. She didn’t offer any passion or conviction when talking about her own policies, like her ridiculous economic plans or gun control. But as soon as Trump came up, she lit up. It shows you where her priorities really are—attacking her opponent rather than offering solutions.

Harris’ Economic Plan: Empty Promises That Add to Inflation

Let’s talk about Kamala’s so-called “Opportunity Economy” for a minute—specifically, her plan to give $25,000 to first-time homebuyers and a $50,000 tax break to new businesses. It sounds flashy, but both of these ideas are complete gimmicks that do nothing to address the real issues.

First, the $25,000 handout to first-time homebuyers. On the surface, it seems like a generous offer, but what does it really accomplish? Here’s the truth: it doesn’t help anyone. The housing market is already out of control, and giving first-time buyers a lump sum is only going to make it worse. Home prices will simply rise by that exact amount, negating any benefit for the buyer. Sellers and developers will just inflate prices because they know buyers have that extra $25,000 in their pocket. In the end, the first-time buyers Kamala claims to be helping will be stuck in the same position they were in before—unable to afford a home. All this does is throw more fuel on the fire of an already overheated housing market.

Then there’s the $50,000 tax break for new businesses. Sounds nice, right? Wrong. Here’s the problem: new businesses typically don’t turn a profit in their first few years. So what’s the point of a tax break for a business that isn’t making any money? They’re not paying taxes on profits they don’t have! This is nothing more than a political gimmick designed to sound like a great deal when in reality, it’s useless to the very people it’s supposed to help.

Both of these policies do nothing but add to the already staggering inflation burden we’re facing. The extra cash in the system just pushes prices higher across the board, hurting everyone—especially those who are already struggling to make ends meet. Kamala’s plan doesn’t offer real solutions; it’s a Band-Aid on a bullet wound, and it’s only going to make things worse.

The Gun Control Deflection: Harris Won’t Answer the Tough Questions

Another telling moment from the NABJ interview came when Harris was asked about gun control. One of the moderators brought up handguns and wanted her to address the issue directly. But Kamala, being Kamala, deflected and started talking about assault weapons instead. The moderator tried to bring her back to the topic of handguns, but she refused to engage. This is classic Kamala—dodging the tough questions because she doesn’t want to give a straight answer.

Let’s be clear: Harris’ stance on gun control is a threat to our Second Amendment rights. She may claim that she’s not trying to take anyone’s guns away, but she was all for a mandatory gun buyback program before she was coronated. She may have backtracked on that now, but don’t be fooled—Kamala Harris is no friend to gun owners and will say anything to get elected.
