It’s no secret that the Democratic Party’s most ardent supporters are blind to opportunism or dishonesty. As long as they are fed with empty rhetoric about identity, they will cast their votes for the blue, regardless of who is on the ticket.
However, it’s a different story with the thinking portion of the electorate. Here, Republicans have a genuine opportunity. With just 97 days left, it’s time to spotlight Vice President Kamala Harris as much as possible.
Fortuitously, two videos of Harris speaking in an obviously fake accent at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, have gone viral on social media platform X. Greg Price from the State Freedom Caucus Network shared these videos side-by-side and by Wednesday morning, they had already garnered more than 2.7 million views.
In one video, taken a week ago, Harris is seen on the set of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She speaks clearly and in a measured tone as if addressing children. “We are all in this together, and your vote is your power,” she says, nodding emphatically with not a hint of an accent.
But at the Atlanta rally, the vice president suddenly takes on an accent reminiscent of Hattie McDaniel’s character ‘Mammy’ from ‘Gone with the Wind’. “You all helped us win in 2020. And we gonna do it again in 2024,” she declares in a forced southern accent. Each “20” in the year “2020” comes with an exaggerated drawl and the “4” in “2024” sounds more like “fo”. It’s a performance that can only be described as insulting.
Greg Price posted, “Here is Kamala Harris, who was born in California to Jamaican and Indian college professors, talking to drag queens in Los Angeles a week ago vs. black people in Atlanta tonight. Fakest human being that has ever lived.”

Price attributed the spotlight on Harris’s shifting accent to journalist Bonchie, a contributor at RedState with 75,000 followers on X. “Compare how Kamala Harris sounds talking to drag queens in LA vs. black people in Atlanta. Is anyone really dumb enough to buy this?” Bonchie posted.

Clay Travis of Outkick also took notice of Harris’s patronizing performance, which goes beyond mere pandering. “Kamala Harris went to speak in Atlanta and now has a Southern accent. LSU coach Brian Kelly is jealous. But in all seriousness, why do people do this? It’s just so transparently fake,” Travis wrote.

The stark contrast between the two presidential candidates boils down to authenticity. Former President Donald Trump has been consistent in his public appearances for the last nine years. He sounds like a New York City real estate developer who loves America and wants to restore its former greatness, with peace and prosperity for all Americans. His stance against open borders, poor trade deals, endless wars, and a corrupt establishment has never wavered.
In stark contrast, Harris seems to decide her accent and policy positions based on political convenience. She has already tried to backpedal from every far-left California idea she supported during her unsuccessful run for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
Final Thoughts: The real question is whether Republicans have enough time to cut through the establishment media’s pro-Harris fog, reach the rational segment of voters, and expose the vice president for the radical leftist and repugnant fraud she has proven herself to be.
