In a shocking turn of events that has rocked Frederick County, Maryland, five individuals have been apprehended and indicted for the savage killing of 15-year-old Limber Lopez Funez. The accused, namely Alexis Alfredo Ayala Lopez, 21, Jose Roberto Ramos Lopez,23, Ismael Lopez Lopez,29, Elmer Bladimir Reyes Reyes,27, and Ismael Ivan Rivera Canales,20 are illegal immigrants residing in the United States. This case has reignited the debate surrounding immigration policies and the urgent need for enhanced border security.
The family of Funez reported him missing in late February which led to a thorough investigation by the Frederick Police Department. In a tragic development, Funez’s body was found in late April in Gambrill State Park after an exhaustive search operation. On May 26, the Frederick Police Dept. arrested 5 male offenders & processed four of them in connection to the murder of Limber Lopez Funez. Officers processed the fifth in connection to attempted murder charges on another case.
