In a classic display of liberal ignorance, Sunny Hostin from The View attempted to connect recent geological and astronomical events, such as an earthquake, solar eclipse and the emergence of cicadas, to climate change.
Thankfully, her co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg had the sense to counter her argument by pointing out that earthquakes have no relation to climate change and eclipses follow predictable patterns.
“All those things together would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists or something is really going on,” Hostin stated.
Joy Behar rightfully corrected her, “Except earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change. It’s underground. It can’t,”
Hostin then tried a different approach asking, “How about the warming of the planet?”
Whoopi Goldberg shut down this nonsense with a simple reply, “No, it happens,”she said. “And the eclipse, they’ve known about the eclipse coming because eclipses happen, and they actually can say when these things are going to happen.”
Despite being corrected, Hostin continued her unfounded claims by stating that her makeup artist had a strange reaction to the earthquake. This is yet another example of liberals trying to link isolated natural events with climate change without any scientific proof.
In an attempt at humor, Alyssa Farah Griffin joked, “I read online that the earthquake epicenter was actually at Bedminster in New Jersey … Fun fact. So, it originated with Trump,”
New Jersey Senate candidate Christina Amira Khalil added fuel to the fire by writing, “I experienced my first earthquake in NJ. We never get earthquakes,”. She went on to claim that this was evidence of a climate crisis and described it as “the weirdest experience ever.””
