NBC News has reported that Biden plans to meet with his family at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland this Sunday to discuss his re-election strategy. This is the same place where he spent time preparing for the debate – and look how well that turned out!
In a desperate attempt to control the damage from the debate debacle, Biden’s campaign chairwoman, Jen O’Malley, has released a memo expressing unshakeable confidence in Biden’s ability to defeat former President Donald Trump. That’s rich!
A senior Biden official also told CNN that the president’s family, including his children and grandchildren, will be photographed by the famous Annie Leibovitz. A nice family photo op while the country is falling apart, don’t you think?
The Democratic Party is reportedly in chaos. Biden’s stumbling performance has left many doubting his ability to handle another four-year term. During the debate in Atlanta, hosted by CNN, there were whispers that Biden had been battling a cold. Excuses, excuses.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison and Biden’s campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez tried to smooth things over with a pep talk on Saturday. But according to the Associated Press, committee members felt ignored as no questions were allowed and the chat function was disabled.
The heat is on for Biden. There’s increasing talk of him stepping aside to allow the Democratic Party to choose a new nominee at the Democratic National Convention in August. The New York Times even reported that donors are curious about who might persuade First Lady Jill Biden to convince her husband to drop out.

The polls aren’t doing Biden any favors either. CBS News released a survey showing that 72% of registered voters doubt Biden’s mental and cognitive health to serve as president. Interestingly, half of the respondents felt the same about Trump, who is 78.
Biden tried to reassure voters at a campaign rally in North Carolina on Friday, admitting he doesn’t debate as well as he used to but insisting he’s capable of handling the presidency. Meanwhile, Trump at his rally in Virginia, claimed that Biden’s issue isn’t his age but his competence, calling the debate a “big victory against a man that really is looking to destroy our country.”
