Here we go again with the liberal elites and their out-of-touch agendas. The Bezos Earth Fund, a charity set up by Amazon’s overlord Jeff Bezos, is throwing a whopping $100 million at the development of alternative protein and faux meat products. Their excuse? They claim it’s to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions from food production, which they say is a major global contributor.
These left-wing billionaires are so eager to tell us what we should eat, but do they ever consider the implications of their decisions on everyday Americans? North Carolina State University has been chosen to receive $30 million over five years to serve as a research hub for these so-called ‘innovative’ products.

“Food production is the second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions, so it’s critical we find ways to feed a growing population without degrading the planet,” lectured Andrew Steer, president and CEO of Bezos Earth Fund. “Sustainable protein has tremendous potential but more research is needed to reduce the price and boost the flavor and texture to ensure nutritious, affordable products are available. It’s about choice.” (RELATED: Wagyu Burgers, Asian-French Fusion And More: Here’s What’s On The Menu At The UN Climate Confab)
So, what exactly does Bezos’ money hope to achieve? They’re looking into developing plant-based meat substitutes, fermented cell proteins for foods, and lab-grown cultivated meat. Sounds appetizing, doesn’t it?
This funding is just a fraction of the charity’s overall $1 billion plan to ‘transform’ food systems and supposedly reduce emissions.
Of course, international organizations like the UN’s FAO are all in favor of this, pushing policies to make meat consumption ‘more sustainable’ and change diets in wealthier nations. Because nothing says freedom like being told what you can and can’t eat by global elites.
The funding is said to aim at creating options for feeding a growing population in a sustainable way. But let’s be honest here – this isn’t about sustainability or choice. It’s about control. And it’s about time we called them out on it.
