CNN’s Brian Stelter reveals shocking reason behind ABC’s $15M settlement with Trump

The liberal media is at it again, trying to downplay President Trump’s recent victory against ABC News. CNN’s Brian Stelter, one of the biggest voices in the mainstream media, can’t help but speculate why ABC reached a $15 million settlement with Trump. In an interview with “CNN Newsroom” host Jim Acosta, Stelter claimed that the network may have settled to avoid “public embarrassment” that could come from the discovery process.

Stelter, a known critic of Trump, couldn’t help but acknowledge that this was a “major victory” for the president-elect. He even spoke to renowned First Amendment lawyer Floyd Abrams, who agreed that this was a “big win” for Trump. Stelter also noted that this settlement may embolden Trump to file more defamation suits in the future.

But Stelter couldn’t resist taking a jab at the president, claiming that he filed the suit against ABC because host George Stephanopoulos had been a “target” for Trump for a long time. Stelter conveniently failed to mention that Stephanopoulos had brought up Trump’s past defamation case and his history with rape allegations during a contentious interview with Republican Rep.

Nancy Mace of South Carolina. Mace, who is a rape survivor, was hounded by Stephanopoulos for her support of Trump and criticized for her comments about writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case against Trump.

Stelter also suggested that ABC may have settled to avoid the embarrassment of their internal emails and text messages being made public, similar to what happened to Fox News when they were sued by Dominion. But even with the settlement, Stelter couldn’t resist saying that the payment is still embarrassing for ABC.

This victory for Trump is not the end of the story. The liberal media will continue to attack and downplay Trump’s successes, but the truth is that they cannot ignore the fact that ABC was forced to pay $15 million to the president-elect. This sends a clear message that defamation lawsuits against Trump will not be taken lightly.
