Ever since Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the likely Democratic primary candidate for the presidency, her role concerning the border crisis has been under intense scrutiny. Last week, several attempts were made to downplay her previous comments about border patrol agents and to dispel reports that President Biden had appointed her as the ‘border czar.’ In essence, it seemed like a concerted effort by the media and Democrats to detach Harris from Biden’s controversial border policies.
But then, in a stunning turn of events, Senator Elizabeth Warren managed to undo all their hard work during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Warren was questioned about the criticism that Vice President Harris has been facing over her handling of the border crisis – a situation that became contentious after President Biden tasked her with devising a solution early in his term. In response, Senator Warren asserted, “Border crossings now are lower than they were in the last year of the previous administration. But recognize – this is a problem that ultimately has to be solved by Congress.”
Warren didn’t stop there. She went on to express her own views, stating, “We need the tools in order to have more resources at the border, and more resources in the states and cities that are supporting migrants. Moreover, I believe we need to create a pathway to citizenship.”

This statement did not slip under the radar. Republican vice-presidential candidate Senator JD Vance took to Twitter suggesting that Senator Warren is enthusiastic about Vice President Harris’s potential role because of her intent to grant mass amnesty to millions of undocumented immigrants.
Stephen Miller, a former advisor of the previous administration, interpreted the Democratic Senator’s statement as a double-edged sword: unrestricted taxpayer support for newly arrived undocumented immigrants and U.S. citizenship for those hailing from over 150 countries.
Adding his voice to the chorus of criticism, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott stated that the Democratic party is essentially confirming that Vice President Harris will collaborate with Congress to provide citizenship to the 11 million undocumented immigrants they have permitted to enter.
Interestingly, Warren’s stance seems to contradict Kamala’s messaging. And let’s not forget Kamala’s own flip-flopping on the issue.

Final Thoughts
This entire debacle showcases the inconsistency and lack of clear direction within the Democratic party. Their attempts to distance Vice President Harris from Biden’s border policies only serve to highlight their own internal divisions and lack of cohesive strategy. As conservatives, we must continue to hold them accountable and demand transparency in their actions and decisions.
