Whoopi Goldberg has once again shown her disconnect from the realities of average Americans, launching an unwarranted attack on Kai Trump, the granddaughter of former President Donald Trump. This comes after Kai delivered a heartfelt tribute to her grandfather at the RNC.
Kai, the offspring of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Haydon, took the stage with courage to share her personal experiences with her grandfather.
“The media makes my grandpa seem like a different person, but I know him for who he is. He’s very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country,” the 17-year-old bravely stated.
She also shared some sweet anecdotes about her grandfather’s love and attention, “He gives us candy and soda when our parents are not looking,” she continued. “He always wants to know how we’re doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me.”
Despite the constant attacks on her family, Kai remained strong and supportive, “A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,” she added. “Grandpa, you are such an inspiration, and I love you.”

Unsurprisingly, this heartfelt tribute didn’t sit well with Whoopi.
On Thursday morning’s show, Goldberg responded with condescension and dismissal, “Now, for me, I have a lot of faith in the American people,” Goldberg said. “And I know his grandchild was up on the thing and they’re trying to humanize him and change your idea about who this guy is.”

She even went as far as to caution her viewers, “Don’t fall for that!” she exclaimed.
Indeed, we should not “fall for” a child’s genuine expression of love for her grandfather, who has been unfairly labelled as a “threat to democracy” and faced life-threatening situations because of it.
