Biden Shamelessly Weighs in on Cozying Up to China-Russia Alliance

Well, folks, the latest from President Joe Biden doesn’t instill much confidence. He strutted his stuff at a recent NATO summit, promising to stand up against Russian and Chinese aggression. But who else is going to keep these global tyrants in check? We all remember how he fumbled his way through a debate with Donald Trump last month, leaving many to question his health and mental acuity.

During his first press conference since that debacle, a reporter asked if he had any grand scheme to disrupt the partnership between Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping. “Of course, I do,” Biden retorted confidently, only to add cryptically, “but I’m not prepared to talk about the detail of it in public.” What a cliffhanger!

In the meantime, NATO has labeled China as a ‘decisive enabler’ of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It seems like these two countries are partners in crime when it comes to disturbing global peace. With Russia still embroiled in its never-ending war with Ukraine and rumors swirling about China potentially preparing for an invasion of Taiwan, it seems like world peace has taken an indefinite leave of absence.

Biden, always the doubter, expressed reservations about engaging with Putin. “There’s not much that (Putin) is prepared to do in terms of accommodating any changes to his behavior,” Biden said, though he’s still open to a dialogue – under the right conditions, of course.

And let’s not forget about Xi Jinping. Biden warned that Xi needs to understand there’s a ‘price to pay’ for undermining both the Pacific Basin and Europe in their dealings with Russia and Ukraine. And in his typical braggart fashion, Biden claimed that the U.S. has ramped up defenses in the Pacific region more than any other nation. Quite the boast, China!

Meanwhile, China has been showing off its military might near Alaska. The U.S. Coast Guard spotted multiple Chinese military ships off the Alaskan coast – an interesting choice for a bit of naval sightseeing, wouldn’t you say? Four ships were observed in international waters but within the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone, which is really just a fancy way of saying ‘close, but not too close.’

Rear Admiral Megan Dean assured everyone that the Chinese ships ‘operated in accordance with international rules and norms,’ which is basically a diplomatic way of saying, ‘We see you, but we can’t really do anything about it.’ The Coast Guard Cutter Kimball was on hand to ensure everything stayed above board as part of Operation Frontier Sentinel, a serious exercise designed to meet presence with presence when competitors like China start snooping around.

So what should we make of all this? While China’s maritime escapade didn’t break any rules, it certainly raises eyebrows. Alaska might be the crown jewel of the Pacific, and China seems keen on getting familiar with the neighborhood. Whether this is mere curiosity or a prelude to something more sinister remains to be seen. But don’t worry, Biden claims he has a plan – he’s just not ready to share it yet. Keep your eyes peeled, folks!
