U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) boldly confronted President Biden, potentially on the eve of his last State of The Union address.
As Biden made his grand entrance, he was met by the unyielding figure of Rep. Greene, who was strategically seated next to the aisle. She was proudly donning a Make America Great Again hat and a shirt paying tribute to University of Georgia student Laken Riley, tragically killed by an illegal immigrant. The exchange between Greene and Biden left the president visibly taken aback.
Democrats in attendance quickly tried to divert the president’s attention, with one elected Democrat attempting to distract him with a call of “Look over here, Mr. President.”
The official broadcast did not capture the conversation between Greene and Biden. However, MTG could be heard asserting “her name is Laken Riley” as the president seemingly chose to ignore her.
Riley’s life was cut short by a Venezuelan national who, after illegally entering the United States, was released from Border Patrol custody. He then made his way to New York City with the assistance of an NGO, where he was subsequently arrested for assault and drunk driving. Despite these crimes, he avoided deportation due to the “Sanctuary” status of both localities.
Greene later shared a video from her perspective. The steadfast congresswoman presented the president with a pin in honor of Laken Riley. Accepting it, Biden responded, “I know how to say her name.”
“Laken Riley,” Greene retorted. “Say her name, Mr. President,” she urged further, only to be met with a dismissive smirk from the president before he walked away.
