Congressman Crenshaw accused of inappropriate contact with reporter during on-camera war funding interview.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw got into a heated discussion with a couple of National File reporters who were pressuring him to explain his positions on Ukraine spending.

The incident was captured on video by both reporter Charles Downs and National File publisher Noel Fritsch — the one who was tripped.

“RINO warmonger Dan Crenshaw threatened and tried to trip our publisher @NoelFritsch as our reporters @howleyreporter and @thecharlesdowns questioned him about his support for war spending and Scalise not having enough votes yet for speaker,” National File tweeted with first-person footage from Fritsch.

In the video, Crenshaw can be heard belittling the two reporters before the alleged tripping incident occurred, and the Congressman can be heard claiming that Fritsch appeared to be having trouble walking backward.

National File Tweeted:

Immediately after the incident, National File reporter Patrick Howley called him out for the incident.

A video filmed by Downs shows that Fritsch was in front of stairs when the alleged tripping occurred, making the situation potentially dangerous.

While the incident was minor, it does seem to highlight the disdain that politicians have for alternative media sources.
