Heroic Citizen Takes Down Gunman in Indiana Mall Massacre: Footage Released.

Recently released body camera footage offers a fresh perspective on the evacuation process at Greenwood Park Mall during last summer’s mass shooting.

What initially commenced as a routine Sunday, transformed into sheer terror when a gunman opened fire within the mall’s food court on July 17, 2022, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. A vigilant bystander named Elisjsha Dicken emerged as a hero by drawing his own firearm and taking out the shooter from a distance of 40 yards.

With law enforcement units from the vicinity swiftly converging on the mall, the police were tasked with determining the potential involvement of others and devising safe methods to evacuate shoppers from the shopping complex.

The victims were identified as 56-year-old Pedro Pineda, his 37-year-old wife Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, and 30-year-old Victor Gomez.

Law enforcement revealed that the 20-year-old assailant, Jonathan Sapirma, possessed two rifles, a handgun, and several ammunition magazines. Although, he solely employed one of the rifles during the attack.
