Children deserve the highest degree of protection from predators.
Parents play a key role in protecting their children from sexual abuse. It’s their duty to protect their children, particularly perverted people. They not only focus on safe recruitment but also on the need to create a safe environment,– that’s the case of a Texas parent of a 10-year-old child who chased down a man with his licensed gun, after reportedly spotting a guy peeking through his little daughter’s bedroom window and fondling himself.
On the night of the incident, the parents were startled when they heard their daughter scream from her bedroom at around 2 a.m. on June 28, 2021. “She looks over at the window and this guy is at her window,” the girl’s mother told KPRC 2. “I can’t say that he tried to take my daughter’s innocence away — he took my daughter’s innocence away.”
The mother and father, who were both legally allowed to carry handguns, armed themselves and ran outside to confront the man who was fondling himself and staring at their daughter through the window.
The parents requested the peeping Tom to lie down in the yard of their home in the 15000 block of West as they confronted the suspect. Little York in Harris County, Texas’s northwest. The man started to back away from the parents but refused to listen to them. He moved toward a nearby Valero gas station, but the girl’s parents followed him.
The man’s wife reportedly kept the man at the gas station while he walked inside to ask the attendant to contact the police, the father said.
On the other hand, the suspect was able to overpower the mother and take her gun. The father claims that while he was leaving the gas station, he spotted the man allegedly pointing a gun at his wife. As a result, he opened fire, striking the man three times.
“He is wrestling with me, with my gun, and I’m like, ‘I’m not going to let you get my gun, you are not going to kill me or shoot me,’” the mother recalled. “My husband just said he heard a ‘ca, ca,’ but by that time the guy had already grabbed me, got my gun, and pulled it on myself.”
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition. No other injuries were reported; the deputies also added that the husband and wife are both legitimate gun owners.
The daughter had previously alerted the family about a stranger looking at her through the glass, the family revealed. The parents initially searched for a suspect without finding anyone, but this time they caught him in the act and intended to turn him over to the police.
“We didn’t want this guy to get shot. We were waiting for police to detain him because I’m pretty sure if he did this to my children, he’s doing it to a lot of other children out here,” the mother said. “We are praying for the suspect and we are also praying for his family.”
“Because [just like how] we have children, a mother, a father, grandparents, and friends, and other family — he does, too.”
Well, thanks to the Second Amendment, this father recognized and properly neutralized the threat and was able to defend himself and his loved ones, these parents are really prepared to defend their child and keep her safe, we don’t know just how far this “peeping Tom” might have taken his perversions if he wasn’t stopped. There’s no telling what else he’s capable of, he’s willing to peek in a 10-year-old girl’s window and touch himself inappropriately while looking at her!
