Carlson says he is out
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson made a very clear break with the Republican Party during an appearance on the Can’t Be Censored podcast. Carlson said he has supported Republicans for 35 years, but that support is over now. In plain English, he says the party lost him. That is not exactly the kind of loyalty boost GOP leaders were hoping for, especially from one of the most recognizable conservative voices in the country.
He calls it immoral
Carlson did not mince words. He said he could not support a political party that is not loyal to the United States and that puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens. He called that choice immoral and said a democracy’s political party should represent its own voters, its own citizens, and its own nation. It is a sharp rebuke, and it lands like a brick through a window on a quiet Sunday morning.
He says more people will leave
Carlson also predicted that he will not be the last one walking away. He said if he is out, then a lot of other people are out too. That line matters because Carlson is not some random internet loudmouth yelling into the void. He has a large following, a long record in cable news, and a reputation for saying what a lot of voters are already thinking but are tired of hearing ignored by party insiders in their nice suits.
He talks about JD Vance and Trump
In the same conversation, Carlson offered advice to Vice President JD Vance, whom he says he considers a friend. He suggested Vance should confront President Trump at press conferences and even accused Trump of treason. Those comments are going to light up Republican circles fast, because nothing says unity like a public family argument with a microphone and a camera rolling. Carlson also said he would tell Trump he is out, which leaves little mystery about where he stands now.
Tucker Carlson says he’s officially done supporting the Republican Party after 35 years.
Listen closely to how he ends it. That’s not a man quitting. That’s a man counting.
