The left is once again acting like the rule of law is a personal insult. After the Virginia Supreme Court struck down a voter-approved redistricting map, Democrats and their media sidekicks went into full meltdown mode because their prized 10-1 House map did not survive legal review. The court ruled 4-3 that the map ran into constitutional problems because of procedural errors in how it was passed. That means Virginia voters will use the same district lines from the 2022 and 2024 elections in the 2026 midterms, where Democrats currently hold a 6-5 advantage. In other words, the sky is not falling, the cheat code just got unplugged.
Hasan Piker Goes Straight to Revolution Talk
Among the loudest reactions came from Hasan Piker, the leftist streamer who is adored by Democrats whenever he is useful and ignored whenever he says the quiet part out loud. Piker claimed the Virginia ruling denied the results of the redistricting referendum and then posted a line that should make any sane American stop and stare: “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.” That is not a call for better arguments or cleaner elections. That is the same old radical language dressed up in a hoodie. The left keeps pretending it is the guardian of democracy while its loudest voices keep flirting with chaos whenever an election or court ruling does not go their way.
Democrats Cry Foul While the Court Was Majority Democrat
Democrats claimed the court had gone against the will of the people, but there is one detail they would rather you not notice: the Virginia Supreme Court is majority Democrat. That makes the outrage even more entertaining, if also deeply unserious. Ted Cruz quickly weighed in, pointing out that this is the crowd Democrats are happy to campaign with, and he was right to say it. If a prominent left-wing activist is openly talking about “violent revolution” after a court decision, maybe the problem is not the court. Maybe the problem is a political movement that has grown so used to getting its way that basic checks and balances now feel like oppression. That is not democracy. That is tantrum politics with better branding.
