Outraged Patriots Storm Biden’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Cry ‘Shame On You!’

Pro-Palestine supporters, dissatisfied with President Biden’s handling of the Israel-Gaza conflict, surrounded the venue of the 108th White House correspondents’ dinner, chanting “shame on you” and “ceasefire now”. The scene was chaotic hours before the event was set to take place at the Washington Hilton in our nation’s capital. The massive crowd of protesters held signs reading “ceasefire now” and “genocide Joe”, illuminating once again the deep divisions within the Democrat party.

Several demonstrators staged a symbolic “die-in” protest in Washington D.C.’s streets, where participants feigned death to draw attention to their cause. Journalists attempting to document these events were aggressively shouted down by protesters accusing them of complicity in “genocide”. At one point, the crowd erupted into explicit chants against President Biden.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, first held in 1914, has seen a significant decline in recent years. In contrast to Biden’s lackluster handling of the event, former President Donald Trump utilized it as an opportunity to highlight media falsehoods with his annual “fake news award”. This is a stark reminder of the difference in leadership between the two administrations.

In 2011, then-President Barack Obama used the event to relentlessly mock Donald Trump. The future president sat in the audience, seething with rage as Obama attacked both his appearance and beliefs. Many political pundits consider this event to be a catalyst for Trump’s 2016 White House bid. Once elected, Trump avoided the event where corporate journalists are praised for their regime-friendly reporting.

Despite Biden’s attempts to revive this dying event, he and his party continue to face consistent protests. As celebrities and media figures arrived at the event, protesters draped in Palestinian flags chanted “shame on you” and “free, free Palestine”. Protest organizers stated they aimed to draw attention to the casualties resulting from Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip.
